This position supports high school students with emotional behavior disorders in a structured school environment. The role is based in Andover, MN, at a high school, running from December 8, 2025, through June 5, 2026. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students with emotional behavior disorders in classroom settings.
- Assist teachers in implementing behavioral interventions and educational plans.
- Monitor student progress and report observations to faculty and support staff.
- Collaborate with the educational team to promote a positive and safe learning environment.
- Support student social and emotional development as directed by school staff.
Qualifications:
- Must meet the definition of a highly qualified paraprofessional.
- Option 1: Pass the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam.
- Option 2: Have a minimum of 60 college credits; official transcripts must be presented.
- Experience working with students with emotional behavior disorders is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for student and staff collaboration.
